Are you looking to decorate your Christmas Mantle soon? You have come to the right place to see how to incorporate everyday decor items into a Rustic Glam centerpiece!

Oh, I’m just loving this time of year! The Hallmark movies have begun and the weather is cooling off. With Daylight Savings here we can turn on the indoor Christmas lights earlier and enjoy the ambiance.

Our fireplace wall is painted white and has black stove doors. I love that any change in decor just pops!

This post gives you the details on how I assembled my mantle decor including the supplies used. And, you will see how I incorporate a few of my essential everyday decor pieces. The key here is to layer, layer, layer!

Grab a cup of your favorite Christmas drink and stay for a bit.

Rustic Glam Winterland

My Rustic Glam Winterland theme is full of muted greens, silvers, whites, with a touch of gold and copper for depth. You will see how I layer various elements in my decor including metal, wood, glass and soft textures.

Glam

I began with the Glam and added my silver candle holders (similar here) topped with my favorite battery operated candles. The mantle is balanced with the Rustic cone shaped Grapevine flocked “trees” (from Hobby Lobby 2019).

Rustic

Next up were the Rustic additions. I used a very basic flocked pine garland for the base. This garland originally came with little groups of red berries spaced throughout. But those aren’t flying with this year’s theme. So, with a little minor surgery the berries were removed and added to my red berry stash for another time.

I then layered eucalyptus to fill in the basic garland. This is starting to fill up nicely, don’t you think?

These eucalyptus picks have very long brown stems. I really like the look of the stems poking out from under as they add to the casual rustic feel of the over all look. They can be hard to bend to your wishes and sometimes need extra help to stay in place. I am a hard core believer in florist wire to marry up just about everything! Here you will see how a few inches of wire attach the stems to the garland. Easy peasy!

Step back and take a picture with your phone. This will give you a good idea of any immediate unruliness. Adjust if needed and then keep on layering! I’ve added lambs ears to brighten up the muted tones and fill in any gaps.

I continued the eucalyptus and lambs ears around the grapevine wreath. A few pheasant feathers tucked in around the sides help to tie it all together.

These two friends stand majestically just off center adding that touch of gold/copper.

Here’s is a before and after of my finished Rustic Glam Winterland Mantle. I hope you find some inspiration in how to use my everyday essentials to create your own beautiful mantle. Merry Christmas!

Until next time,
