Cathy’s Essentials

This section of my blog is an organized list of what I consider to be my everyday decor essentials. These pieces are used in various ways throughout my decor for every season and every holiday.
They are natural, simple, transitional and casual pieces that are invariably working their magic all over our home on any given day. Imagine eucalyptus in a white pitcher with beautiful peonies in the Summer. Think of how pheasant feathers go from a sideboard vignette to a fall wreath to the Christmas tree.
There is no doubt you will begin to recognize what I consider my essentials because you will see them in quite a few of my posts such as how I decorated my Christmas Mantle, or my simple Winter decor.
Where did your list come from, Cathy?
Well, so glad you asked! This list darn near created itself after years and years of my evolving decor taste. Remember the Laura Ashley pastel florals? Yep, so do I. You probably owned a piece of wicker furniture over the years, too, huh?
Don’t judge, I still have my wicker pieces. They are sitting pretty in the Guest Room just fitting in like they own the place!
I have found some items have stood the test of time. They find their way back in my decor season after season. If you don’t already have these, get them! You will not be disappointed in how they fall into place with your own sense of style. If I have something new that is in constant rotation, you will find it here.
Shop your Stash
Think of things you always reach for when decorating your space. It could be a silver platter, a rustic bowl or a particular pop of color. You will immediately know what your bare minimum stash is full of.
